Something a little different awaits for our first Autumn get-together.
One of our favourite sources of vegetarian take-away food in Javea, Tapindo have now opened a
restaurant in Javea Port, and they are going to put on a special vegetarian banquet for us, based on
a traditional Indonesian 'rice table' - a selection of dishes to share, using vegetables, tofu
and tempeh, with a variety of different sauces and accompaniments to suit all palates. All food
is freshly prepared from delicious and fragrant ingredients, to generate a dramatic range of
different flavour combinations all beautifully presented for our pleasure.
The dishes we will enjoy include vegetables with lemongrass and coconut, sambal goreng tempeh, black beans
and green chili, tofu bali, spicy beans, sweet and sour vegetables, home-made sambal and of course a
variety of rice preparations. Our talented chefs promise a great variety of flavours and ingredients
for everyone to enjoy.
If you're not familiar with Indonesian cuisine this is a great opportunity to
try a range of different dishes, from subtle to spicy, and if you like Indian or Chinese food you will be
sure to enjoy it. Don't be put off if you think you don't like tofu - what these guys can do with it
will change your outlook forever! There will be lots of vegetables and rice to choose from as well,
and our special menu includes a starter, dessert and half a bottle of house wine (or beer or soft drink if
preferred) The menu price will be 17.50 Eur per head, or 15 Eur for under 16s
All the dishes are dairy-free, although there will be some egg-based options on offer. If you have
any other dietary requirements please let us know in good time.
We have limited space at this event due to the restaurant capacity, so please
