Sofias Restaurant Javea
Friday 19th November, lunchtime
*updated... menu details included!*

Mongto Vegetarians regulars will be delighted to hear that we have arranged a November lunch date
at Sofias in Javea. Laura and Drew at Sofias have been long-term supporters of our group, because they
truly care about fine culinary creations and an impeccable dining experience, and I know it's the place we always
take visitors we want to impress with a great night out.
Opening specially for us on the 19th, we will be enjoying a selection of tapas to start, followed
by a main course that will require pre-ordering... so please indicate on the form below whether you would
prefer...
Crisp fried Canellonis stuffed with wilted
spinach, toasted pinenuts and sun dried tomatoes. All drizzled with a warm goats cheese cream and topped with
crisp seasonal leaves.
Mildly spiced north African cauliflower and date Tagine served with Tunisian pilaf rice.
Oven baked stuffed Aubergine with Moroccan spiced cous cous and topped with chickpea salsa
and drizzled with a harrisa dressing.
Oven baked potato, mushroom and roasted vegetable Moussaka topped with a red ricotta Glaze
and served with a seasonal side salad.
Sofias are famous for their creative and imaginative flavour combinations, which range from traditional to
highly innovative. Tucked away between the pueblo and the Port, Sofias are one of Javea's best kept secrets,
and some of the best food we have eaten anywhere on the Costa (carnivore friends concur with this opinion
incidentally!)
Our lunch will cost 18.50 Eur, which will include 3 courses (they do awesome desserts as
well, our choice will include cheesecake, trifle, brownies and toffee pudding...), bread and half a bottle of
wine. Please can you confirm your numbers as soon as possible, as we have sold out events at this venue in
the past.
