Next 'Vegetarian Night, November 2009'
Following a wonderful evening at Sofias in October, our next 'Veggie Night' will be at La
Cocina in Javea Puerto, on Thursday 19th November, at 7.30.
We are looking forward to some traditional Spanish-style cooking, with a unique
veggie twist of course, with a very exciting menu developed especially for Montgo
Vegetarians.
The cost of the meal is 18.50 includes IVA and half a bottle of
wine
Our menu, which must be pre-ordered by the 15th, consists
of...
Starter choices:
Mushroom basket - Creamed
mushrooms with a touch of parmesan in a homemade puff pastry basket and served with dressed garden
leaves
A duo of cocas (traditional
flat breads from Mallorca), one with mediterranean vegetables and one with spinach, raisins and pinenuts
Caramelised onion soup - with
celery, parsely and Pedro Ximenez wine
Main choices:
Three cheese and quince
tart - cream cheese, blue cheese and parmesan, with quince, spring onion and parsely, served
warm
Olla Gitana - murcian casserole
of cannellini beans, chickpeas, pumpkin, pear, saffron and tomatoes
Aubergine roulade - rolled
slices of aubergine stuffed with celery, parsely and onion and served with a cumin veloute
Desserts:
Chocolate cake
Cheesecake
Rice dessert
Lemon cream
Pear sorbet
Ice cream with drunken raisins
