Gurkha Palace, Javea
Monday 24th January 2011, 7:30pm for 8:00 start
(note changed/earlier start time!)

Anyone for curry this month?
Indian cuisine is perfect for vegetarians, combining pulses and vegetables with delicious
spices and flavours to create healthy and well-rounded dishes, bursting with taste and texture. The
Gurkha in Javea Port is specialist in Nepali cuisine, and always pleased to cater for vegetarians. For
our outing in January, they are going to provide us a selection of starters, and a main course choice (to be
served with pilau rice) - please preorder from the following:
Dum Aloo Kashmiri Curry - a mild dish involving stuffed potatoes
Vegetable Kofta Curry - with vegetable fritters in a thick
sauce
Mutter Methi Malai - a tasty combination of fenugreek leaves and green
peas
Mixed Vegetable Curry - a medium strength dish, *dairy free*
(tarka dall is an additional option for those preferring a dairy free main course, please
indicate when booking)
The menu cost of €19 includes the starter selection (a tasting
platter), a naan bread, half a bottle of wine, and a choice of desserts. Please get your reservation
in early, as we do have a maximum cap on numbers at this intimately-sized venue. If you're not sure
whether curry is for you, the first two dishes will be specially mild in taste, and the starter sampling
plate is an ideal way to try lots of different things and find out what you like. This should be a fun
and friendly evening, we hope you can join us for it...
