In the heart of Javea Pueblo, just steps away from the church and covered market you will find Restaurant El Tropezon.

Their menu is posted outside and one glance will strike fear in the heart of any veggie, since not a single veggie meal is listed.

However, for those who dare to enter, a rare treat awaits you.

The ambiance of the high beamed ceiling and natural stone walls, tastefully decorated, will greet you, as will the staff, who are among the most veggie-friendly people you will meet.

They are more than happy to create beautiful veggie dishes to order. If you have any favourites, they will prepare these for you, or else, they will create individual dishes from their range of veggie recipes.

However, you must remember to phone or call in, 1 or 2 days before to make a reservation and tell them you are a veggie as they need time to prepare, so that everything will be ready for you when you arrive for your meal. 

We enjoyed an excellent cream of broccoli soup and home baked bread, followed by stuffed aubergines and courgettes, and the price, service and presentation were all of most welcoming quality.
